At Evangel we are committed to reach beyond our Sundays to meet the physical, social, and spiritual needs of our city and during these unprecedented times we won't back down from this commitment. In response to the emerging needs in our community due to COVID-19 we are focusing our efforts as a church to a few key areas of crisis.

MEALS FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS
We’ll be working with Ruth Ann’s Restaurant and other local restaurants to provide hot meals to Medical workers for the next couple weeks. Help us invest in these local restaurants and provide relief to some of our health care workers. Please contact Brent Collins for more info: brentc@evangel.live

MEDICAL MASKS FOR PIEDMONT COLUMBUS REGIONAL

We are partnering with the Springer to make face masks for Piedmont Columbus Regional. At Piedmont’s request, these masks will be used for patients in their Emergency Room facilities. Kits will include materials to construct 10 masks, an approved pattern, and the Piedmont Healthcare guidelines. We just need volunteer stitchers to pick up kits, assemble them at home, and then drop back off. Piedmont will wash all the masks at their facilities, so you do not have to wash the masks after completion. Kits are available on a first come first serve basis.

If you have completed your masks before the deadline and wish to make more, you are more than welcome to take another kit, if available. You are also welcome to make masks using your own materials to donate, as long as they comply with Piedmont Healthcare guidelines.

For the time being, this will be an on-going weekly project, collecting masks on Saturdays by 5PM to turn into Piedmont and then have more kits available for pick up on Tuesday each week. If you need assistance with pick up or drop off, please contact Brent Collins | brentc@evangel.live.

If you have any questions about the pick up location or construction of the masks, you can contact Sandy Dawson | sdawson@springeroperahouse.org
